day sevenTuesday, August 12, 2008 6:46 PM

ITS MY TIME NOW, Its two am, the stars are out like you can only know if you have been here. the wind is blowing 16 to 20 kts, the seas are 3 ft and the boat is going 7.6 kts with a reefed main and a #3. the hydrovane self steering is driving and everyone else is a sleep. My shift will be over soon so I have pored a small glass of rum given to us by Don And Debbie McAdams, It was good at the dock but now it is even better. All the racer in me wants to check the sails but theirs a new me being created each day, the crewser, so new i cant spell it yet. and the cruiser is relaxed, I sleep at night knowing the boat is sailing at ease. and i laugh more in the day. I even talk to Becky as my mind has slowed down. problems come slower and are easier to fix. But theirs one i cant fix by myself. Pat, if you could find a way to get that case of wine i gave you out here, I would be grateful.
Denny

3 in the afternoon, Becky is making bread, Will and Becky are on watch and i just got done with a 2 hr nape. things have changed today. it is raining. I'm back after getting hit with a pound of flower. Becky assures me it was an accident but i;m not so sure. took some time to clean up.

Denny,it's good to hear that you're bleeding off the stress of race mode! I hope that everyone else is following your lead. I'm sure that Kokomo is happy as well. It's great to be able to keep track of you. Please keep posting.
Best to all,
BC

Sounds like all is going well. I know Roger wishes he was with you, but I'm quite content to be on non rocking land.....I actually wore shoes for the first time in a month and a half yesterday (sockless) and it sucked. Back to the flip flops today!

Hope Becky L. is holding up well....I'm quite concerned about her and her back.

pat.

Nice to hear that our gift was appreciated :) Sounds like things (and crew) are going better since the head got fixed! It's amazing how many things can go haywire when you least expect it, but good thing Captain Denny!! is on the job!!!

We love keeping up with your adventures and I won't even critique your creative spelling :) We'll even hoist a glass for you here from beautiful sunny Washington!
